Henderson police asked the public's help in solving a burglary in which a 91-year-old woman was beaten overnight Thursday.

<b>HENDERSON, N.C.</b> — Henderson police asked the public for help in solving a burglary Thursday in which a 91-year-old woman was assaulted.

Someone broke into a house on Oakdale Circle, assaulted the woman and then took several items from the house, police said.

The Criminal Investigations Section is investigating.

Anyone with information about the case should call Henderson police at 252-438-4141 or Crime Stoppers at 252-492-1925. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information that leads to arrests in certain felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
