Durham police investigators are trying to locate Ashley Ann Magruder, 21, who is wanted on fraud charges.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police investigators are trying to locate Ashley Ann Magruder, 21, who is wanted on fraud charges.

She is accused of stealing a pocketbook from a shopping cart at Whole Foods on Broad Street on Aug. 28 and then cashing two checks belonging to the victim.

Magruder, of 322 Junction Road, is charged with obtaining property by false pretense, uttering a forged instrument and misdemeanor larceny.

She is described as a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.
