Durham police probe two shootings, possible link

Durham police were investigating two shootings that happened 25 minutes apart Saturday evening and trying to determine whether they are related.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police were investigating two shootings that happened within a half hour Saturday evening and trying to determine whether they are related.

The first happened in a McDonald's parking lot at 4301 N. Roxboro Road around 8:20 p.m. The victim was taken to Duke University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

At 8:45 p.m., a little more than a mile away, three people shot inside a vehicle near the intersection of Stadium Drive and Carver Street. The driver drove to Durham Regional Hospital, where one victim was in critical condition and the other two were stable.

No other information was released. Investigators have been unable to determine whether the shootings were connected.
