Durham police probe slaying

Durham police are investigating a Wednesday afternoon slaying on West Trinity Avenue.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating a Wednesday afternoon slaying on West Trinity Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to 900 West Trinity Ave., Apt. 8 shortly before 2 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the body of as Charles D. Nero, 34, inside the apartment.

Investigators are not releasing the cause of death at this time, but say the case is being investigated as a homicide.
