Durham police label death homicide

Durham police have opened a homicide investigation into the Sunday morning death of a 64-year-old man.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police have opened a homicide investigation into the Sunday morning death of a 64-year-old man.

Officers were dispatched to a cardiac arrest call at 617 Red Cedar Circle, shortly after 11 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a man lying on the floor. The victim, identified as William Burroughs, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released the cause of death.
