Durham police investigate shooting death
Durham police reported one person dead at the intersection of Miami Boulevard and Raynor Street Friday afternoon.
Posted — UpdatedAnthony Tramaine Glenn, 37, of Durham, was found shot in the driver’s seat of a vehicle after he hit a parked car, police said. Glenn was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the shooting occurred after an argument at the Autozone in the 1700 block of Holloway Street.
The victim's car collided with at least one other vehicle before coming to a stop.
“I got there and saw that my children were okay,” Nona Fuller, mother of a crash victim said. “I don't know what the final decision will be about the bumps and bruises, but they are alive and the gentleman in the black car is no longer alive.”
Raynor Street was shut down from Miami Boulevard to Holloway Street following the incident. Residents were asked to avoid the area as police conducted their investigation.
