Durham police are investigating a rape that happened in the area of Rochelle Street Thursday morning, police said.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Durham police are investigating a rape that happened in the area of Rochelle Street at about 9 a.m. Thursday, police said.

The incident happened after a man entered a home and raped a woman. It appears the man did not know the woman, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, possibly in his early 20s and approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall with a small build. He was wearing light-colored blue jeans, a black sweatshirt and a black ball cap.
