Durham police identify murder suspect in April convenience store robbery
Durham police are looking for a man in connection to an April 27 homicide at a convenience store.
Posted — UpdatedTimothy Leon Moore, 23, of Granby Steet, is wanted on charges of murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, felony conspiracy and two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to the Durham Police Department.
Moore is wanted for the murder of 57-year-old Nafez Jalal, an employee of the Fast Food Mart at 2106 Broad Street, who was found dead inside the store after an armed robbery, police said. A second employee, Hassan Jolale, a 48-year-old Durham man, sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are also trying to identify a second suspect in the case who was filmed on surveillance cameras at the store and locate a silver Chevrolet Silverado with a black toolbox on the back.
