Durham police ID pedestrian struck by car

Police have identified a pedestrian injured in a car wreck on Holloway Street on Monday morning.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police have identified a pedestrian injured in a car wreck on Holloway Street on Monday morning.

Officers said that Reinaldo Roblero Gonzalez, 37, of Raynor Street, was in stable condition at Duke University Hospital on Thursday afternoon. He suffered head injuries in the wreck.

Police said that Gonzalez stepped into the path of a car driven by Cheri Craun, 36, of Durham, on Holloway, near Raynor, shortly before 10 a.m. Monday. Craun was treated for minor injuries caused by flying glass fragments.

No charges have been filed in the wreck. Officers said that Craun was not speeding, but the cause of the wreck remained under investigation.
