DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police arrested a man wanted since February on break-in and fraud charges.

Police used a Crime Stoppers tip to track Robert Ebey Taylor, 31, to East End Avenue. He was arrested Tuesday morning.

Taylor, of Sana Court, allegedly broke into an occupied house near Barbee Road around noon on Jan. 28.

The resident told officers that someone kicked in her door. The resident said she confronted a man inside her home. The man and an accomplice fled without taking anything, police said.

Officers arrested Gilbert Rochelle Jr., 20, of Lynn Road shortly after the break-in was reported.

Investigators have charged Taylor and Rochelle each with breaking and entering, attempted larceny and injury to property. Taylor is also charged with obtaining property by false pretense.
