Durham man sought by police

Police in Durham are looking for Nicholas Maurice Beatty, 26, of North Roxboro Streeton, who is wanted onkidnapping and firearms charges.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police in Durham are looking for a man wanted on kidnapping and firearms charges.

Nicholas Maurice Beatty, 26, of North Roxboro Street, is wanted on charges of kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault with a deadly weapon, assault by pointing a gun, discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, communicating threats and discharging a firearm within the city limits.

The charges stem from what police say is a "domestic incident" that happened Sunday.

Beatty is known to frequent the 2500 block of North Roxboro Street and Fairfax Road. He might be driving a black GMC Yukon or a gold Mercedes.
