Durham Homicide Victim Identified

Police on Monday identified a man found shot to death in an Enterprise Street home over the weekend.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police on Monday identified a man found shot to death in an Enterprise Street home over the weekend.

Paul Maye, 42, of Massey Avenue, was found slain inside 200 W. Enterprise St. at about 9:30 p.m.  Saturday, police said. Investigators said they believe he was killed during a home invasion.

Shortly after Maye's body was found, police received a report that a man who had been shot in the arm was at Bell’s Amoco on Lakewood Avenue.

That man, whose name hasn't been released, told officers he had been inside the Enterprise Street house when Maye was shot. He was treated at Duke University Hospital and released.

Police were searching Monday for two men in the shootings.

One was described as black with a light complexion, in his early 20s, 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a long black coat.

The second man was described as black with a dark complexion, in his early 20s, 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket.
