A Durham branch of Suntrust bank was robbed Friday afternoon, police said

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham branch of SunTrust bank was robbed Friday afternoon, police said.

A black man wearing sunglasses, light pants and a black leather coat entered the branch, at 3421 N. Roxboro St., just after 5:30 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money, police said.

Surveillance images from the bank show the suspect to be slim with salt-and-pepper hair and facial hair. He is about 5 feet 5 inches tall. Police said the man was last seen running from the bank.
