Duke Children's sells holiday cards, opens 2013 card program art contest

Calling all artists! Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center, the nationally ranked pediatric academic medical center in Durham, invites children to submit artwork for the 2013 Duke Children's card program.

Calling all artists! Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center, the nationally ranked pediatric academic medical center in Durham, invites children to submit artwork for the 2013 Duke Children’s Holiday and All-Occasion Card Program.

Submitted pieces will be entered into the annual contest and the winning artwork will turned into greeting cards to raise funds to benefit Duke Children’s.

Duke Children’s welcomes all themes of artwork for the 2013 Duke Children’s Holiday and All-Occasion Card Collection. Children ages 5 to 18 may participate. Artwork chosen to become Duke Children’s cards will be printed on thousands of cards. Winning artists will be invited to attend a press conference and celebration with the chairman of the Duke Children’s Card Program Coach Mike Krzyzewski and will appear in television ads for the cards.

Artwork not chosen for the 2013 card collection may be used in auctions or to create thank you gifts for Duke Children’s donors. The artwork submission deadline is April 15, 2013.
