Duham police investigate alleged home invasion

The victim told police a black man, wearing a light blue T-shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap, kicked in his door, pointed a gun at him and demanded money and drugs.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are asking for help in investigating a home invasion that took place Sunday on William Vickers Avenue.

The victim told police a black man, wearing a light blue T-shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap, kicked in his door, pointed a gun at him and demanded money and drugs. The suspect took cash and ran from the house.

The witness described the suspect as between 6 feet and 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 175 to 195 pounds with a medium complexion and stubble on his face.
