Dudley man found dead in Goldsboro street

Wayne County deputies are investigating the death of a 25-year-old Dudley man as a homicide after he was found dead in a Goldsboro street late Wednesday.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Wayne County deputies are investigating the death of a 25-year-old Dudley man as a homicide after he was found dead in a Goldsboro street late Wednesday. 

Authorities responding to a call about a person being in a street found Justin Travis Lancaster in Linen lane about 11:20 p.m. His car was parked nearby, and deputies said it appeared he had been shot. 

Lancaster's body was sent to the Chief Medical Examiner's office in Chapel Hill for an autopsy, deputies said. No arrests have been made.
