Investigators say Xurry Evans hydroplaned on Owen Drive near Cumberland Road around 10:30 p.m. He lost control and hit a utility pole. He died at the scene, authorities said.

The pole hit another vehicle, and that vehicle overturned. Crews took the driver to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
