Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire at the Lake Cameron Apartments, located near the intersection of Hwy. 55 and Hwy. 64.
Twelve units were impacted displacing 25 residents including families with children. No one was hurt.
Displaced residents have relocated to hotels for the next couple of days.
The property manager said there was no damage to the interior of the units; however, power was shut off while repairs were completed on the outside of the building. The small fire melted the siding on one side of the building.
