DOT to close Wade Avenue ramp to I-40
The ramp, at mile marker 289 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday so crews can perform bridge maintenance work, officials said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The state Department of Transportation will temporarily close the entrance ramp to eastbound Interstate 40 from Wade Avenue this week to finish some bridge maintenance work, officials said.
The ramp, at mile marker 289 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, officials said.
Drivers needing to access eastbound I-40 from Wade Avenue should take I-40 west to Harrison Avenue to exit and re-enter in the eastbound lanes, officials said.
