RALEIGH, N.C. — Heading out to celebrate New Year's Eve? If you plan to drink, let someone else drive you home. It's not worth comprising your safety and the safety of others.

Here a few local options to consider:

Safe Ride Home NC (Call or text 919-520-4496) - This service can be booked in advance online or by phone. They will even drive your car home. Prices are also the same all year round - no surge pricing on NYE.

Uber - This app allows you to order up a driver to bring you home from anywhere in the Triangle. Download the app to your smartphone in advance, set up your payment info and you will be just one click away from securing a safe ride. Prices are based on what type of vehicle you request and how far you need to travel. Note: Prices do go up on holidays like New Year's Eve. Expect a surge in prices tonight.

Lyft - Similar to Uber, this is an app that picks you up anywhere in the Triangle area. Note: "Tipsy Tow" and similar options are popping up on the internet. The service used to be offered by some states in affiliation with AAA auto club but isn't anymore. Always check services out before booking.
