Despite cold weather, Prairie Ridge's outdoor storytime goes on
I know it's cold outside, but the folks over at Prairie Ridge Ecostation wanted me to share with readers that its Nature Stories program continues.
Posted — UpdatedThe weekly storytimes for babies to six-year-olds (and their adults) starts at 10:30 a.m., Thursdays. Organizers have made some changes to the program so it's more active. The group now meets near the entrance of the ecostation, an outdoor lab and classroom for the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences. It's in west Raleigh.
Participants go on a short nature walk as a leader reads or tells a story along the way or at the end of the walk. The hour-long program explores a different topic each week.
There's no guarantee, as most moms know when it comes to nap time, but it's pretty certain your little ones will crash after an active morning at Prairie Ridge.
