Deputies Search for Wilson County Bank Robber

Sheriff's deputies are looking for a bank robber in Wilson County.

ELM CITY, N.C. — Sheriff's deputies are looking for a bank robber in Wilson County.

At 10:07 a.m. Thursday, emergency dispatch received a call of a robbery at the 111 E. Main St. BB&T.

A man walked up to a teller and demanded money, deputies said. The robber left the bank without showing a weapon and with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber stood between 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed about 160 pounds. He was wearing a medium-gray hooded sweatshirt and loose-fitting, faded jeans.

The hood was pulled tightly around the man's face and he appreared to be wearing gloves, and bank personnel said they were unsure of his skin color, deputies said.
