Death of Wayne County toddler investigated

The boy's mother took him to the emergency room at Wayne Memorial Hospital on Monday afternoon because he wasn't acting normally, authorities said. He died at the hospital.

A preliminary autopsy determined that the boy, whose name hasn't been released, died of trauma to the body, but investigators haven't determined whether the trauma was accidental or intentional.
