CARY, N.C. — Chicken and waffle fans will be able to get their fix in Cary starting Tuesday.
Dame’s Chicken & Waffles will be holding its official grand opening on Harrison Avenue in the old Firewurst location next to Bass Pro Shop, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.
Dame's also has locations in downtown Durham and Greensboro.
If you haven't been to Dame's, it is famous for its chicken on top of golden waffles served with "shmears," warm syrup and powdered sugar. Shmears are made with sweet crème butters that have been whipped. Shmear flavors include maple pecan, vanilla, chocolate hazelnut and toasted almond
