Cumberland schools announce snow makeup days

Cumberland County Schools will hold classes in March, May and June so students can make up four school days that were recently canceled because of winter weather.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County Schools will hold classes in March, May and June so students can make up four school days that were recently canceled because of winter weather, officials said.

The makeup days are as follows:

  • Traditional schools: June 10 becomes a full instructional day. June 11 becomes the last day of school and is a full day. Spring Break is unchanged.
  • Year-round schools: June 5 becomes a full instructional day. June 8 becomes the last day of school and is a full instructional day. The March/April intercession is unchanged.
  • The Early Colleges, A.B. Wilkins High, and Howard Health & Life Sciences High: March 27 becomes a student day instead of a required workday. May 22 remains the last day of school but is now a full day.

Graduation dates for the school system also remain unchanged.
