Cumberland County Murder Suspect Arrested
The suspect in a Cumberland County murder has turned himself into authorities.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A homicide suspect wanted in Cumberland County is now behind bars, sheriff's deputies said.
Authorities said Travis Kinton, 19, turned himself in. Kinton has been charged with the murder of Ronald Hunter, 41, of Gabe Smith Road.
A CSX worker discovered Hunter's body alongside the tracks off I-295 near Rich Walker Road on June 25. The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office labeled the death a murder after an autopsy Wednesday.
Investigators have not released any information on the cause of death.
