Rides return to Cumberland County fair
The Cumberland County Fair at the Agri-Expo Center has been open since Friday, but not all of its carnival rides are up and running.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A year after about half of the rides at the Cumberland County Fair failed inspection, the event has a new partner, according to the Fayetteville Observer.
The newspaper reported that Spectra Venue Management, which runs the fair, struck a deal with Big Rock Amusements to provide carnival rides and entertainment. The same company provides rides for fairs in Lumberton, Wilson and Edenton.
The Cumberland County Fair runs Sept. 9 through Sept. 18 at the Crown Complex.
