Crews to Remove Flood Debris From Wake Women's Center

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Crews who specialize in removing debris will help clean up the Women's Center of Wake County.

Last weekend, flooding from heavy rain damaged the downtown Raleigh center. Fans had to be used to dry out the building.

Furniture, clothing, supplies and toys are destroyed. Crews will haul away damaged items, starting at 11 a.m.

The agency is working to rebuild its supply of Christmas gifts. Those interested in donating are asked to drop off the toys at the center, located at 128 East Hargett St. in Raleigh.
