Crews battle major fire at business in Holly Springs

Fire crews in Holly Springs are responding to a 2 alarm fire at a business in Holly Springs Monday night.

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — Fire crews in Holly Springs are responding to a 2 alarm fire at a business in Holly Springs Monday night.

The Holly Springs Fire Department said it was battling a fire on Thomas Mill Road in Holly Springs, at what is believed to be a concrete company.

There are reportedly three dozen firefighters total from Holly Springs, Apex and Fairview departments.

There were reports of smoke being seen from as far as a mile away Monday evening.

Holly Springs told WRAL News the fire was "under control" but did not provide any additional details.

The damage to the interior of the building is believed to be extensive, though no one was inside of the building when the fire began.

It is also not clear what started the blaze.

WRAL News is working to gather more information.
