Crews battle fire at Raleigh apartment's clubhouse
Emergency crews battled a fire at a Raleigh apartment's clubhouse at 6317 Shanda Drive Tuesday morning, according to police.
Posted — UpdatedNo one was injured, and the units at Woods at North Bend were not touched, according to authorities. Residents said they saw flames raging from the clubhouse at about 4:15 a.m.
It's unclear what caused the fire.
Authorities responded to another fire at the apartment complex in June 2009. Investigators determined that improperly discarded smoking material caused that blaze.
A quarter of the building sustained significant fire and smoke damage. No one was injured.
In July 2008, a fire left 16 units uninhabitable. Fire officials also deemed that blaze an accident.
