RAEFORD, N.C. — Fire crews battled a dangerous blaze at the Farm Chemicals, Inc. in Raeford on Friday morning. Part of the agricultural services building was destroyed, and the plant was reported to have some areas containing materials that could be hazardous when burned.

The News-Journal reported from the scene, saying the fire was burning as of 10:30 a.m. They shared a photo of the active flames.

Nearby roads were closed to divert traffic away from the burning building and potentially dangerous materials.
