Convention Center Work to Close Street
Construction of the downtown convention center will require Lenoir Street to be closed between South Wilmington and South McDowell streets from 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday, officials said.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — Construction of the downtown convention center will require Lenoir Street to be closed between South Wilmington and South McDowell streets from 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday, officials said.
The closure will allow crews to work on utilities at Lenoir and Salisbury streets, officials said.
To detour around the closure, drivers should go north on Wilmington Street, west on Davie Street and south on Dawson Street, officials said. Drivers are urged to obey the posted speed limit and be alert when approaching and leaving the construction work zone.
