Contractor to move headquarters to Garner
A company that provides engineering, procurement and construction services in energy, water and telecommunications plans to move its headquarter to Garner, creating 89 jobs over the next three years, officials said Friday.

Overland Contracting Inc. has been based in Conyers, Ga.
“With our existing business presence in North Carolina, this new OCI location will provide an opportunity to further enhance our capability to provide client services in the region,” said Ralph Dyro, vice president for real estate and facilities management for parent company Black & Veatch.
Black & Veatch already employs nearly 200 workers in Wake and Mecklenburg counties, officials said.
Overland Contracting plans to invest $8.4 million in the facility, which will house project construction positions and employees in procurement, finance and human resources.
The company qualified for a grant of up to $70,000 from the One North Carolina Fund, which provides financial assistance to attract business projects to the state. Companies receive no money up front and must meet job and investment targets to obtain grant funds, which include local matching money.
