Consumer Reports ranks Publix as top local grocery store

In a new story from Monica Laliberte with WRAL's 5 on Your Side, you'll see the results of the recent Consumer Reports grocery store rankings. The top store in our area is Publix. See how the rest of our local stores fared!

The stores were voted on by over 62,000 Consumer Reports subscribers who rated multiple shopping trips over a period of 16 months during 2013 and 2014. Below are the rankings for our local stores as well as the top and bottom ranked stores. I am thrilled to see that we have 8 stores in the Triangle who are in the top 25.

68. Waldbaums - This Northeast grocery chain is owned by the same folks who own Pathmark and A&P (#65 and #66 in the rankings).
