NASH COUNTY, N.C. — Interstate 95 north and south between mile markers 136 and 137 will be reduced to one lane Tuesday at 8 p.m. to undergo maintenance to seal cracks and fix existing concrete, officials said.

The work will require traffic to be placed into a single lane closure, which will possibly require a detour route through the area.

Southbound detour traffic will be directed onto U.S. Highway 64 and onto Old Carriage Road southbound. Traffic will take N.C. Highway 97 west to I-95 south.

The northbound detour will direct traffic to I-97 east to Old Carriage Road. Traffic will take Old Carriage Road until it reaches U.S. 64 east. Traffic will follow U.S. 64 east to I-95 north.

Officials said the construction is scheduled to be completed Wednesday at 6 a.m.
