Conference designed to support Triangle area 'mompreneurs'

Attention mompreneurs - and moms who hope to launch their own business: Vend Raleigh, a wonderful resource for local women business owners, will host the fifth annual Illuminate conference on Oct. 13.

I had a chance to go last year and really enjoyed it, met some wonderful women and got a lot out of it.

The conference is designed for local entrepreneurs and mompreneurs to connect, collaborate and create through networking and interactive topic sessions. This year, the conference also will include a panel of successful area business owners.

This year's event will benefit Transforming Hope Ministries, which brings awareness of human trafficking to the Triangle.

Registration for Illuminate, which is at Hope Commuity Church in Morrisville, is open now. Tickets are $75.
