Christine Hall of CMH College Consulting has been with us for the past few weeks sharing tips on the college process.

Hall is a former high school teacher and administrator who has been helping teenagers and their parents figure out what the best college fit is for them.

Today, Hall (who is no relation to me) tackles the topic of academics and how to make sure your child is being challenged in his classes. Hall tells me that middle school is the time for kids to master basic reading and math skills so they can be prepared for more challenging courses in high school.

Watch the video for more information. Check the links in the box above to see past tips from Hall. And go to the CMH College Consulting website for more information about what Hall offers.

And check back here next Wednesday for a final tip from Hall.

A note: In the video, Hall mentions the North Carolina Virtual Public School, a state program that offers online courses. Here's a link to the program to learn more.
