DURHAM, N.C. — After Thursday’s blowout win against Wake Forest, Duke University Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski was again asked about sexual assault accusations against former player Rasheed Sulaimon.

“I really don’t have any answers more for those questions,” Krzyzewski said. “And I would just hope you understood that that’s what I’m supposed to do. If you were in my position, by federal law, that’s what you would do. And I’m going to uphold that. I’m gonna do that. As an employee of Duke University and an American citizen.”

The Chronicle, Duke’s student newspaper, ran an article on Monday linking the former player, the first to be dismissed under Krzyzewski, to two sexual assaults.

As of Wednesday, no formal criminal complaints of sexual assault have been received against Sulaimon by Durham or university police.

Sulaimon, a junior in good academic standing, was dismissed from the team Jan. 29 for a pattern of conduct and attitude issues throughout his two and half years on the team, not for any single incident, sources said.
