City of Raleigh hosting small business expo for women, minorities

The City of Raleigh is hosting its 17th annual expo for small, disadvantaged minority- and women-owned businesses on Jan. 22.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The City of Raleigh is hosting its 17th annual expo for small, disadvantaged minority- and women-owned businesses on Jan. 22.

The expo is free and will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at Southeast Raleigh High School, at 2600 Rock Quarry Road.

The expo gives small business owners an opportunity to talk one-on-one with purchasing and acquisition representatives from the City of Raleigh, Wake County Public School System, Wake County government, state of North Carolina government, Raleigh-Durham International Airport, local general contractors, end users and other vendors.

The representatives also will share information with small businesses about upcoming projects for 2015. Bilingual staff will be available for assistance.

The expo is hosted by the City of Raleigh’s Small Disadvantaged Minority- and Women-Owned Business Program
