Charge: Man had stolen tractor
A 63-year-old Hobgood man is accused of stealing a tractor from a farmer in Scotland Neck, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

SCOTLAND NECK, N.C. — A 63-year-old Hobgood man was caught with a tractor stolen from a farmer in Scotland Neck, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
The tractor was reported stolen by a local farmer in December 2006.
In August 2009, the tractor was located in a field near Scotland Neck.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of Andrew Davis Jr.
Davis is charged with possession of stolen property. He was being held Friday under $20,000 bond at the Halifax County jail. His next court date is Nov. 18.
