The Chapel Hill Public Library is in a temporary location at University Mall during the expansion of its building until early next year. But that hasn't prevented it from hosting special events, along with its regular story times and teen programs.

This month, the library will host an African American Dance Ensemble performance from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., Feb. 18, at University Mall Stage outside the library. The program from the nationally recognized performing company will feature African dance and music. It is free.

The library also is partnering with iKidzu Children's Museum for a Kidzu Mosaic Workshop from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Feb. 26, at the museum, which is a couple of miles away at University Square. That's a Sunday, which means admission to Kidzu is free all day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
In addition to these special events, the library has a long list of regular events for babies to teenagers, including family story times and book clubs. For the full list, click here.
