The Chapel Hill Farmers' Market will start offering a free yoga storytime for kids ages 4 to 7 starting this Saturday.

The program will run twice a month from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. It's scheduled for April 12, April 26, May 10, May 24, June 14, June 28, July 12, July 26, Aug. 9, Aug. 23 and Sept. 13.

The market at 201 S. Estes Dr. in the parking lot of University Mall also will host an Easter Egg Hunt on April 19. Hard boiled eggs will be hidden around the market. Kids can take their found eggs to a dye station to experiment with using dyes made of natural ingredients such as turmeric or onion skins. (I love this idea!).

The market is open 8 a.m. to noon, Saturdays. It will be open 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays, starting April 15.

When the market opens on Tuesdays, Kidzu Children's Museum, which moved to University Mall earlier this year, will launch a new series for kids called "To Market, To Market." It invites kids and their families to meet local farmers and artisans, practice financial literacy and early math skills, and learn about healthy eating choices, according to a description.

Families will get a recipe card at Kidzu, explore the market to collect ingredients and then meet back at Kidzu to make something. You'll need to sign up online or at the museum's front desk for these, which are $10 per child, including the ingredients. All ages are welcome.

Here's the schedule. The programs are 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

April 15: Silly Salads! Join Kidzu as we taste and toss the fresh leafy greens available at the Market, along with crazy cheeses and other colorful treasures just waiting to be discovered!
April 22: Think Green! To celebrate Earth Day, Kidzu will be collecting seedlings at the Market, learning from farmers about how fruits, vegetables and flowers grow, and planting their own mini-gardens to take home!
April 29: Food Fiesta! In partnership with Southern Season, Kidzu will be getting ready for Cinco de Mayo with homemade pita chips, salsa and guacamole!
