Dennis Draughon, Capitol Broadcasting Company’s editorial cartoonist, is the recipient of Editor & Publisher Magazine’s 26th annual EPPY Award for best Editorial/Political cartoons.

The judges praised Draughon’s distinct style along with his work’s directness and clarity.

“Dennis' work gets to the heart of the matter quickly. His cartoons make it easy for readers to quickly understand what's going on and the prevailing tensions of the situation,” the judges said. “You don't have to be a Ph.D. to understand Dennis' points.”

The EPPY Awards are a premier accolade for international media-affiliated websites, presented annually by Editor & Publisher magazine. They honor media organizations that do an "outstanding job in creating online services."

Draughon’s award came in a category in which he competed with others artists who work on online Opinion sections with under 1 million unique monthly visitors. He also won the EPPY for Editorial/Political Cartoons in 2019.
