Cause of death undetermined for Fayetteville woman

The body of Christine Gay Yetzer, 74, was found tucked under a utility meter at 417 Pearl St. in a "very awkward position," the autopsy states.

Her pants were lying next to the body, her shirt was inside out, backward and pulled over her head, and there was a pillow nearby.

An investigation report included with the autopsy stated that neighbors reported that they found her periodically wandering in their yards, unaware of her surroundings.

Yetzer lived alone and suffered from dementia. A friend, who had not heard from Yetzer in days, stopped by the house and found the body on March 13.

There were no signs of forced entry at the home, where Yetzer had lived for at least 35 years.
