CARY, N.C. — A Cary man pleaded guilty Monday to contributing to the delinquency of a minor for his role in a sexting case.
Josh Wheeless, who was once a minister of youth and outreach for Landmark Freewill Baptist Church in Cary, was charged in July 2013. Police said he asked a 16-year-old girl to send him nude photos, and sent the same of himself to her.
Wake County Judge Donald Stephens sentenced Wheeless to 45 days in prison but suspended that sentence and gave Wheeless 12 months of supervised probation.
