Cary woman injured in Hillsborough Street wreck
Raleigh police said early Sunday that alcohol might have been a factor in a wreck on Hillsborough Street that hospitalized a 20-year-old woman.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police said early Sunday that alcohol might have been a factor in a wreck on Hillsborough Street that hospitalized a 20-year-old woman.
Police said that Jessica Mitchell, of Cary, was behind the wheel of a car when it struck a telephone box around 3:20 a.m. The car flipped over several times before coming to a rest upright at Hillsborough and Henderson streets.
Mitchell suffered head trauma and was transported to WakeMed, police said. An update on her condition wasn't available.
