Cary woman accused of stealing ultrasound equipment

A Cary woman is accused of stealing medical equipment in Wake and Johnston counties.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Cary woman is accused of stealing medical equipment in Wake and Johnston counties.

Jenine Marie Ellis, 39, of 111 Olympic Drive, was charged Friday with three counts of felony larceny.

According to arrest warrants, Ellis stole two Phillips ultrasound transducers, valued at $26,000 each, from WakeMed Hospitals in Raleigh. She is also charged in connection with the theft of a Phillips CX 50 portable ultrasound machine, valued at $90,000, from Phillips Medical Systems in Smithfield.

Ellis was being held Saturday in the Wake County jail under a $60,000 bond. She is due in court Monday.
