<b>CARY, N.C.</b> — Parents and school groups upset about repeated Wake County school reassignments convinced the Cary Town Council on Thursday to set up a task force to study the impact of shifting students.

The task force will meet with Wake County Board of Education members during a three-month period, although no dates have been set for the meetings. The Town Council also considered hiring a private consultant to study the issue and offer alternatives to reassignment.
