Cary man found dead in Brunswick jail
A Cary man was found dead in his cell last week at the Brunswick County Detention Center of an apparent suicide, authorities said Wednesday.
Posted — UpdatedBOLIVIA, N.C. — A Cary man was found dead in his cell last week at the Brunswick County Detention Center of an apparent suicide, authorities said Wednesday.
Steven Allan Myers, 21, was booked into the jail on Dec. 20 on charges of assault by strangulation, assault on a female and communicating threats. Detention officers found him dead three days later.
The State Bureau of Investigation was called in to review the incident, authorities said.
