A car was hit by an Amtrak train Wednesday night on Garner Road at Vandora Springs Road in Garner. 

No one was hurt Wednesday night when a car was hit by an Amtrak train on Garner Road at Vandora Springs Road in Garner.

The Silver Star, which was traveling from New York City to Miami, hit the vehicle at 10:21 p.m., authorities said.

The train was carrying 162 passengers and crews, and no injuries were reported.

No further information was immediately available.
